Secretary of the Advisory Committee for Quality at European Hernia Society (EHS) and the Project Lead of European hernia registry. Member of the Executive Committee of UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) council. Author or co-author of almost 40 articles in specialized international magazines with high impact factor. Co-founder of Hernia Basecamp project - education programme of IRCAD academy in Strasbourg. Holder of several awards for best publications in specific fields - British Journal of Surgery, Jedlička award of the Czech Surgical Society, Purkyně Endowment Fund award, Best teacher of the Second Faculty of Medicine at Charles University Prague.
