Paediatric First Aid Course in Prague 07.31.2026

img

Parenthood brings many situations in which it is important to know when and how to respond correctly. The Paediatric First Aid Course at MY CLINIC helps parents gain confidence, clarity and practical skills when dealing with acute situations in children – from newborns through to adolescence and adulthood. It also explains the key differences between first aid for children and adults.

The course combines accessible theory with practical training. Knowing first aid in theory is not enough. It is important to understand the correct procedure, practise it in real-life scenarios, recognise a critical situation safely and know how to respond with greater confidence when it matters.

Why Practical Paediatric First Aid Training Matters

Acute medical situations in children can develop much more rapidly, and children have a very limited tolerance to a lack of oxygen. The time available to respond correctly can therefore be considerably shorter than in adults, making early recognition of a serious problem absolutely crucial. First aid procedures for children also differ significantly from those used for adults.

Most parents know what to do when their child has a fever or when to contact a paediatrician. They may feel less confident, however, when faced with an emergency such as an inhaled foreign object, a serious infection, choking, an injury, febrile seizures or a severe allergic reaction.

The course is not about creating fear. It is about being prepared.

What Will You Learn?

The course is divided into two complementary sections.

Theoretical Part

Practical Part

Under the guidance of an experienced doctor, participants practise first-aid procedures using infant, child and adult manikins. Practical experience can significantly improve the ability to perform resuscitation correctly in an emergency, when knowing the theory alone may not be enough.
