When a Celebration Helps: MY CLINIC Charity Raffle for Centrum LOCIKA 02.11.2026

Sometimes one good idea is enough to turn a pleasant evening into something with real impact. At MY CLINIC’s New Year’s gathering, we did not only celebrate our anniversary—we also took a concrete step to support children who need help the most.

During the event, we marked 5 years of MY CLINIC and organized a charity raffle in support of Centrum LOCIKA. Thanks to the involvement of our colleagues, we raised CZK 30,500.

As HR Director Lucie Eliáš says: „We wanted our fifth anniversary to leave more than just nice memories—it should also bring real help. The raffle was a simple way to connect the joy of being together with something meaningful. I am proud of how the team got involved.“

Why Centrum LOCIKA

Centrum LOCIKA provides specialized, trauma-informed support to children affected by violence at home—whether they are direct victims or witnesses. LOCIKA offers free psychological, therapeutic, and legal support for children and their close ones, aligned with international standards of care.

The goal is clear: stop the violence, ensure safety for the child, and reduce the long-term impact of trauma—because trauma can affect health and life well into adulthood. Alongside direct support, LOCIKA also focuses on prevention, professional education, and advocating for systemic improvements in child protection.

In real life, this often means being there for a child at the moment they appear to be “functioning” on the outside, but are carrying fear, guilt, and helplessness inside—and finally need a safe space where someone believes them.

Why this matters to us in pediatrics

Supporting LOCIKA is not a one-time gesture. It naturally connects to what we do every day at MY CLINIC: we care for children and we know that health is not built only through examinations and treatment, but also through safety, stability, and support.

As our Director Vanda Vynohradnyková Gaydečková adds: "In pediatrics, we often see how strongly a child’s wellbeing and sense of safety influence sleep, immunity, and overall functioning. Supporting LOCIKA is a natural continuation of what we believe—that good care for children also means a safe environment where they can grow well."

What the donation will support

The raffle proceeds will help children who are experiencing violence at home right now. Thanks to this donation, support can reach them when it is most needed, for example:

  • anonymous crisis chat, when a child is afraid to speak out loud
  • therapeutic and psychological support, so they do not face it alone
  • legal support for children and parents, so they do not get lost in the process and the violence can truly stop

Sometimes it starts with a single sentence a child hears for the first time: “I believe you. And you are not alone.”

CZK 30,500 is not just a figure in a budget. It represents the chance for professional support to reach children in time — and timely help often determines how serious and long-lasting the consequences may be.

This donation can help provide several crisis chat contacts, cover legal support in complex situations, or fund part of the work of psychologists, therapists, and social workers — professionals who stand by children at moments when no child should be left alone.
